Something Else Begins

Something else begins was the first collaborative project between Taylor Han and musician and composer Alex Paton. The initial idea for the work came out of a conversation between Alex and Taylor at the bar during the interval of a dance performance.

Through discussing their shared interests in music and dance, Alex created a musical score for Taylor, which she choreographed to, exploring how her movements can relate to the music. 

The work is a playful exploration within the melodies as Taylor attempts to illustrate different parts of the music through her movements.

Something Else Begins was performed at Experiment 6 Scratch Night in South Norwood Library Hub, London on the 7th September 2019.
